Tink, are you talking about N. pygmaea which includes N. "Helvola"? Well, the difference is that N. minuta is a dwarf tropical discovered in Madagascar. N. pygmaea is a dwarf hardy.

This is N. minuta.

This is N. "Helvola".

N. minuta is pink, Helvola is yellow.

So Pygmaea is Tetragona,  Helvola is Tetragona  X  Mexicana,  Correct ?

I believe that the Pygmaea you gave me Tink is Tetragona,  It has 4 petals per row going up the pod.

I think I have Candida. I purchased it as virginalis but I'm pretty sure it's Candida  Very small and white and looks like a species plant to me.  I should self it to be sure but I can't figure out what else it could be.
Does anybody have a plant that they know for sure is Candida ? I would like to get one to compare with and breed to the one that I have for diversity.

Mike, I'm not sure of the other parent but I do know that Helvola is a N. pygmaea hybrid. Smiley

Katfish, have you got seeds? If you start them this Spring, try to keep them indoors through next Winter and you will have blooms the following Summer.

One word of advice to all those that have bought seeds from me. If you don't want to save seeds, pinch off the spent blooms when they sink under the water surface. If you want to collect seeds, bag the spent blooms. If you don't do either, they will be all over the pond. Sad

No seeds.  I sowed them and they sprouted, but they dried out  whistle  I'll have to try again.

I think Andrew Davis has a candida so you can ask him for pictures.

Does your candida have a red center?

If it doesn't then it may not be candida.

Thanks Nassuvian I think I just saw a pic of Candida on Koiphen from Andrew and I noticed the reddish center in it. I cant remember if my plant had that or not. I don't think I have any pics either I'll just have to wait for spring.

Now is the time to get your N. minuta seeds if you want them and don't have them. I know that  there are some new members out  there that might be weighing them up thinking that they couldn't grow them but they are easy and you have a whole forum to help you including myself. Smiley So order now while there are some left.

Well, I grew mine in a kiddie pool and they were very happy. So happy that they bloomed like crazy. That's why I ended up with a half of a medicine bottle full of seeds. Smiley

Scott, I don't have the room for the lilies I have now and probably would not have success getting them through the winter. So why do I have this overwhelming desire to get some of these seeds from you? How much are they? Do you still have any?

It would probably been good to let you know that I had shipped them yesterday, huh? I had to go out Wednesday but forgot to take the packages with me for the post office. They are on their way. Smiley

That goes for Joanna to in Canada. I did a quick check on your forecast and thought that the temps would be fine to ship your way as well. That will give you a little extra time to get them started inside if you want.

I've also sent a package to cantho and Bearb.
